"A Chef stands proudly behind a real work of Art. You ask, "How Can We Make Money Online Blogging About ADHD?"

So, you’re probably confused, right about now. You go to Google and type, “How Can We Make Money Online Blogging About ADHD?”, you arrive at this Website, see a Chef, proudly standing behind this Beautiful Buffet, and you say, “UH! I Don’t Get It”.

Sorry, but I’m going to have to leave you hanging for a bit. I will give you 2 hints, though. “They Complemented This Chef ALL Night Long”, and “FUEL UP AN ADDER“. I WILL explain later.

How Can We Make Money Online Blogging About ADHD?

I’m going to share with you an unexpected journey that turned into a lifeline for many “ADDERS”, “Adults Grappling With ADHD”. It’s about the Therapeutic Powers Of Writing, which many of us never realized we needed. There’s something about putting your Thoughts On Paper that can offer Immense Relief.

You’ll find out about the Profound Relief that comes with Understanding Your Mind. When I was 40 Years Old, my Brother gave me a questionnaire to take. It had over 70 Questions on it, so I “ACED” it.

That’s when everything started to CLICK for me. My childhood, once a puzzle, began to make sense, and so I started to “Pen My Thoughts”. Now, I’m on the Path to sharing this Journey further through a Blog and then, an eBook.

Developing an Engaging Writing Style for ADHD Readers

Before we go any further, I must talk to you about my Writing Style. I will show you how tweaking your Writing Style can make your Content more Engaging For Readers With ADHD. This isn’t just about being FLASHY; it’s about understanding how to Hold The Interest Of An Audience that Thrives On Stimulation and Variety.

Now, what is a BIG “ATTENTION” GRABBER?

ALL The Words Of Interest that are CAPITALIZED and in BOLD cut right through the NOISE. This Technique is like a Secret Handshake for the Brain of an “ADDER”. They perk up because it’s not just another block of text; it’s a SIGNAL that tells them that Something Important is waiting for them

You’ll find out that Mixing Up Fonts, COLORS, and SIZES is more than a Stylistic Choice; it’s a Strategic Engagement Tool. Using VIBRANT COLORS and

DIFFERENT FONT SIZES

Can Transform A Plain Article into an ADHD-Friendly Carnival of Thoughts, making it Less Tedious and More Inviting.

You’re not only setting a Pace; you’re also “Inviting Your Reader” into a Conversation, making the Text Flow naturally. I believe “This Approach Doesn’t Just Attract The ADDER”. It’s also a hit with those from the Older Generation, or the Modern Reader who’s likely to “Scan Rather Than Dive Deep” into Your Content. Just Don’t FOCUS Too Much On Perfection. Your First Attempt doesn’t need to be your Last.

Choose Something That Resonates With You and Your Readers.

For example, a Dash of Humor Through Funny Images and Attention-Grabbing Headlines can turn the Reading Experience into something that’s not just informative, but ENJOYABLE.

Visuals Are Important

"An old man looking sternly at a Goth girl, she doesn't seem to happy with him either"

And So Is Humor

One Day A Little Goth Girl Said To Me,
“Wuh? Like, You Don’t Know New Math?”
“Jeesh! Like, Yer Not That Bright Are You?”
I said, “Wow! Like, You Don’t Know, Old Math, History,
Phonetics, Cursive Writing, How To Count Change
Or Tell Time With An Analog Clock”
“Like, Wow, You’re Stupid”.
No, but they know, “LIKE” LOL, OMG, AND WTF.
Now they’re attacking gender. Question
If I TRANSPlant a Rose Bush,
does it now IDENTIFY as a Tree?
Ok! Enough of that.

Additionally, when I Write, I use many Commas. A Comma is used for every breath that I take, like now, I paused and then continued. I try to be a Conversationalist when I Write, just like, when I Talk. I feel that the Reader is at ease when I am Writing to them. I think the Reader would feel more comfortable if the Text flowed and was rhythmic.

“I Write Like I Talk, With A Rhythm”

And when it comes to Rhythm, that’s the Strategy I like to Leverage with.                                                 Writing with a Rhythm – Like Speaking – Makes for a Captivating Read, by Using                       Commas With Each Breath That I Take.

Turning Your Many Thoughts Into Many Dollars

This isn’t just about Recounting Memories;

it’s also about guiding you through the Monetization (Making Money) of your Unique Experiences with ADHD. Yes, there’s a way to both Soothe Your Mind and Pad Your Wallet by doing what comes naturally to us “ADDERS”, Writing With Passion, Authenticity, and a Dash Of SuperCharged Creativity.

"a man with many thoughts and ideas coming from my head, autos, jets, inventions, photo art

“My Thoughts And Ideas Put Into Action”

In my opinion, there’s no one better suited to Capture The Whirlwind of ADHD through Blogging than someone, who’s always living it. So, if you’re ready to Convert Your Swirling Thoughts into a Structured Blog and a Revenue Stream, this is your Starting Point.

Understanding ADHD and Its Creative Potential

When the conversation turns to ADHD, there is often an “Emphasis On The Challenges” it presents. But there’s another side to this COIN. Individuals with ADHD, or “ADDERS” as I affectionately call “US”, are not just a bundle of “Symptoms Needing Management”; we are Reservoirs of Untapped Brilliance, Creativity, and Productivity.

“The Very Creative Mind Of A Man Riddled With ADHD”

When We’re Engaged In Something We Love Or Find Stimulating, Our Performance Can Soar To Incredible Heights. It’s the difference between a Light Bulb and a Laser Beam:

Focus The Light, and it Becomes Much More Powerful.

In Blogging About ADHD, it’s vital to tap into that Rich Vein of Creativity. It’s all about finding the things that Trigger that Supercharged Level of Performance. For many, it’s the Joy of Transforming Thoughts Into Words, and for others, it’s the thrill of Sharing Insights that resonate with people who understand the struggle. Either way, it becomes a Therapeutic Endeavor as much as it is an Intellectual One.

Appreciation And Gratitude Fuels An ADDER

And let’s talk about the Motivational Fuel that keeps us going: Appreciation and Gratitude. For “ADDERS”,  these are Not Just Nice-to-Haves; THEY ARE ESSENTIALS. Just like a Car Needs Fuel to Move, WE NEED PRAISE TO SUSTAIN OUR EFFORTS.

Without it, the Inclination to Rush Through or Abandon Projects can be Overpowering. But When We Receive Recognition for our Unique Perspective and Hard Work, it’s Like Adding TURBOCHARGE to our Efforts.

Remember, Blogging About ADHD isn’t just about Sharing Difficulties; it’s about Showcasing the Immense Potential that lies within this Condition. It’s about flipping the script and Making ADHD Your Superpower in the Blogging Sphere. So, Let’s Harness That Supercharged Energy and Channel It Into Creating Content that not only Captivates but Also Uplifts and Educates.

Now, for an ADDER to stay Charged, you need to FUEL UP an ADDER. How? PRAISE him for his Accomplishments, you COMPLIMENT him, an ADDER really needs this.

"A Young Handsome Man With A Long Hair Curly Perm And A Thin Moustache Leans Forward Toward Us, He's Smiling And With Mouth Wide Open, A Man Is Pointing A Gas Hose At His Face And Colored Skittles And Candy Flying Out The End Of Hose Onto His Face And Some Into His Mouth, Behind Him Are Many People Smiling, Laughing And Applauding Him, Photo Art. Are You That Chef In The Mirror?

So, by NOW, you’ve Sampled my Writing Style. Let’s FINALLY talk about THAT Chef in the Main IMAGE. For Starters, let’s discuss the Caption under his IMAGE. It reads, “They Complimented This Chef ALL Night Long”. As I wrote earlier, “Appreciation” and “Gratitude”, for“ADDERS”,  these ARE Not Just Nice-to-Haves; THEY ARE ESSENTIALS.

"a chef standing in front of a beautiful creation, a buffet table, photo art

“Are You That Chef In The Mirror?”

Just Like A Car Needs Fuel To Move,

“WE NEED PRAISE TO SUSTAIN OUR EFFORTS”

An Individual With ADHD will Understand What This IMAGE Represents. We will need to REFUEL with more PRAISE and GRATITUDE Afterwards, for the Beautiful Culinary Presentation that was so Painstakingly  Created. Allow me to explain.

May I Prepare A Duck l’Orange For You?

Back in 1975, a much Younger Me washed dishes at the Bayview Hotel, a wonderful restaurant. The food was FABULOUS, but that did not seem to impress me. One night, Chef Carlson invited me to dinner at his house. After dinner, he showed me a Tomato, and with his paring knife, turned that Tomato into a Beautiful “Rose”.

“Chef Carlson’s Tomato Rose”

That was my Trigger, the STIMULI Required, for it ALL” to Begin for me. That same year I attended the Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute and became a Buffet Chef. This provided so much STIMULI for me, the Ice Carvings, Terrines, Galantines, Pulled Sugar Floral Arrangements, and of course, Parsley? The Chef would always say,Parsley Cures ALL!”. Once, jokingly, he said, Parsley Could Make A Plate Of Dog Poop Look Beautiful”. Say what?

Anyway, getting back to our Chef in the IMAGE. A lot of Time and Energy are Exhausted, to Create such a Gastronomic Feast, and so, a REFUEL is necessary. Regardless of the REFUEL, a BURNOUT usually follows after such a Successful Event. I survived the BURNOUTS because I had time to Rest in between parties.

So, while preparing this Feast, they ALL watched the Master at work, so, they Complimented him, and so, because of them, it Got Better. It Got Better because He Did More, and he Did More because it Got Better, meaning, that there were more Complements, High Fives, and Pats On The Back. This is when THEY” (The Other EMPLOYEES) seem to resent us. But have no Fear, “THEY”, because our FAME is usually Short-Lived.  You see, for just a brief moment,

We “SHINE SO BRIGHT”, then We Quickly BURN OUT,

then we’re looking for the Next Project to STIMULATE US. It Only Seems To Come In Momentary BURSTS.

Another thing that the IMAGE Represents is the Many Food Items Prepared, the Many Skills, and the Many Gifts that a Person With ADHD is Capable Of Performing.

The Picture Below Represents The Many Thoughts I Have,

ALL AT ONCE! ALL THE TIME!

"This is a baby with a man's face, because we never grow up when we have ADHD. These are the many thoughts that constantly run through my mind"

“Just Some Of My Thoughts ALL At Once”

NOTE: The picture above, was going to be used as the Cover Art for my Book. It was painted by my Army Battle Buddy and great friend Matthew. Talk about being CREATIVE.

It depicts a child man, riddled with ADHD, always dreaming, even while awake. Unfortunately, Matthew is cursed with ADHD, as well, and as a result, he never finished the painting.

The Picture Below: Accurately Depicts Me, “All Grown Up”. I still have many “Thoughts and Ideas”, but as an Adult, “I’ve Achieved Many Things”.

I’ve Learned To Put These Thoughts and Ideas Into Action, and so, When I Was In The Workforce, I Was Able To Save Our Company A Lot Of Money In Production Costs And Labor.

"a man with many, many thoughts at once in his head"

“As Monk Would Always Say, “It’s A Blessing And A Curse”

Crafting Content That Attracts ADDERs and Beyond

If you’re Writing About ADHD, especially for ADDERs, you may wonder how to Craft Your Content to Captivate Your Readers. As I stated earlier: Write Like You Speak, Embed the Natural Pauses and Flow of Your Spoken Language into your Text, and Create A Rhythm That’s Intuitive For Your Readers To Follow.

I also said that I CAPITALIZE and BOLD certain words. This is to make them Stand Out, not just for “EMPHASIS”, it’s a Beacon For ATTENTION. Our Brains are hardwired to notice these Standout Elements, and “ADDERS” often Appreciate Those Cues more than most. It’s not only a Stylistic Choice; it’s a Strategy to keep your Reader locked in.

Now, consider the SENIOR Readership and those folks who just skim Content. They’re looking for Anchors: bits of Content that will quickly tell them if this Read is worth their time. With Bolded Keywords and Illustrative Language, you Create those Anchors, inviting people to dive deeper or get the Gist at a Glance.

This is where I bridge my thoughts to the next focal point – the Publishing Industry’s Approach versus the Freedom of Self-Publishing. The way you’ve crafted your Content with ‘ADDERs’ in mind can sometimes clash with Traditional Publishing Standards.

Dealing With Publishing: Self-Publishing vs Traditional

When you’ve poured your Heart and Creativity into Writing About ADHD, the next big decision is how to share your work with the world. You see, when it comes to Publishing, you’ve got two main paths: Self-Publishing and going the Traditional Route.

Traditional Publishers come with their own set of Rules. They might Appreciate Your Content, but they tend to have a Standard that they stick to rigidly. If Your Style doesn’t match their Template, you could find your Unique Voice Being Stifled.

They aren’t necessarily familiar with how to market to ADDERS or Readers who Thrive On Vibrant Styles and Bold, Stimulating Content.

My take? Self-publishing can be a Game-Changer here. It allows you the Freedom to maintain your Personal Touch, the very essence that makes your Writing About ADHD shine. I’m talking about keeping those CAPITAL WORDS, the Varied Fonts, and the Colorful Visuals ALL of it.

That said, there’s a balance to strike because you’ll still want your eBook to come across as Polished and Professional.

Self-publishing Platforms offer the Flexibility to Do Things Your Way, yet they will Require Adherence to some Basic Standards. But don’t worry about that too much.

These Standards Are There to Ensure Your eBook can be Easily Consumed by Your Audience – meaning the Focus is kept on a Clean, Readable Format that can be Accessed on Various Devices and Services.

So, what does Self-Publishing really involve? It’s about being in the driver’s seat, steering your eBook from inception to the Hands of the Readers without a go-between. It’s Empowering to have that level of control, and in my opinion, it suits the ADDER in us who Cherishes both Freedom and Recognition.

Choosing the Self-Publishing Route doesn’t mean you’re alone in your Journey, though. As we transition to the next section, I’ll show you how to Navigate the Self-Publishing Waters – ensuring that not only does your eBook maintain its Flair and Flavor, but that it also meets the Inclusive Needs of ALL Potential Readers out there.

The Art of Self-Publishing an eBook on ADHD

I will guide you through the Art of Self-Publishing, especially when it Involves Content as Personal and Impactful as ADHD Experiences.

Self-publishing does more than just put your story out there. It Hands You the Control to Ensure Every Aspect of Your eBook Reflects Your Unique Voice and Style, which can Resonate Deeply within the ADHD Community.

If you’re looking to Start Writing About Your Journey with ADHD and aim to share it with the world, Self-Publishing is a seamless bridge to your Readers.

First, Write Your Manuscript with all the Passion and Personal Insight you’ve gathered. Don’t worry too much about Perfection on the first go. Remember, your First Attempt doesn’t need to be your Last; you can Always Adjust Your Approach down the road.

Once your Draft is Complete, the next step is to Edit Your eBook to polish its Readability While Retaining Your Distinctive Style. Choose something that resonates with you, whether it’s a Professional Editing Service or Software, but Ensure that Your Voice Remains Undiluted.

Cover Design is Crucial – it’s the first thing potential readers will see. So my suggestion? Opt for Colors and Imagery that are not only Visually Appealing but also Reflective of the ADHD Experience. This is where you can be Creative and Inject some of that ADDER Brilliance.

"A Handsome Young Man Looks Up And Has Many Thoughts In The Air Above Inventions Like Cars And Planes Lights Many Colors Many Gadgets He Holds His Arm Out And Points And From The Tip Of His Finger All These Ideas, Inventions, Wildlife, Trees, Colors Lights Shoot Out Like A Spray Everything Is Growing Around Him And Developing, photo art. “How’s This For ADDER Creativity?”

Finally, select the Right Platform to Publish Your eBook. There’s a lot of opportunity in platforms such as Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing or Smashwords that cater to a wide audience. These platforms also offer resources to help you Format Your eBook, ensuring it meets Professional Standards without Stifling Your Style.

After all, we’re not just Writers;

We’re Creators aiming for

Genuine Connection and Understanding.

Self-publishing is your chance to do just that, crafting every element to Speak Directly to Your Audience – bringing them the Comfort and Community they’ve been looking for.

Deciding on the Right Pricing Strategy for Your eBook

When it’s time to Price your eBook, think of Goldilocks: you don’t want it Too High or Too Low; you’re Aiming for Just Right. It’s a balance between valuing your hard work and understanding what customers are willing to pay.

"Goldilocks holding a hand full of cash, photo art

“Goldilocks Is Rolling In The Dough”

First things first, consider the Length and Genre of your eBook. For example, the Average Fiction PaperBack has about 10 to 12 Chapters, and it’s around 40 to 60,000 Words Long. A Hefty Guide might fetch a higher price than a short story. Research similar Titles within your NICHE to get a feel for the going rates.

Next up, Factor in the Royalties.

Amazon offers up to 70% in Royalties for Prices Ranging from $2.99 to $9.99. Remember, the Royalty Rate drops to 35% if you go below $2.99 or above $9.99, so aim within that sweet spot if possible.

If You’re New to the Scene, a Lower Price Can Attract More Readers, which can be worth more in the long run than a few extra dollars now. But don’t undervalue your work; if you’ve packed value into every page, your book deserves a fair price.

There are an estimated 8.7 million adults in the U.S. who have ADHD. Approximately 2.6% (139.8 million) of adults worldwide have persistent ADHD. And so, that’s who would listen to you.
